Our Team.
Meet the team behind More Life.
We’re a small, science-based group focused on making mental health easier to understand and easier to use. We care about clarity, consistency, and doing this work the right way and not the loud way.
Different roles. Shared mission. Always grounded in real people, real brains, and real life.

about us
About The More Life Foundation
The More Life Foundation is a Black-founded, Black-led nonprofit mental health education organization created for the culture, by the culture.
We exist to bring mental health education and resources to communities that have historically been overlooked, misdiagnosed, or shut out of accessible care — especially Black and marginalized communities.
We don’t provide therapy, and we don’t replace clinical care.
What we do provide is clear, culturally relevant, science-based education rooted in neuroscience, psychology, lived experience, and real life.
Mental health is not just about thoughts. It lives in the body. It’s shaped by environment, stress, culture, and survival. Our work reflects that reality.
Our Culture
Our work is grounded in first-person understanding. We teach from experience — not from a distance. We speak plainly, respect the science, and honor the lived realities of the communities we serve.
We believe mental health education should:
-
Reflect the culture it’s meant to serve
-
Address the mind, body, and spirit together
-
Be practical, creative, and actually usable
That’s why we pair education with creativity. We launch campaigns that resonate, create journals and tools people will actually use, and explain mental health in a holistic way — from brain and nervous system to daily life, relationships, and self-care.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all healing. We believe in relevance, representation, and real tools.
What We Do
Our work centers on accessible mental health education through programs like The Happy Face Theory, which helps individuals and groups understand coping styles, stress responses, and emotional patterns — and learn healthier ways to respond.
We partner with schools, organizations, and community spaces to deliver mental health education that feels familiar, respectful, and grounded in reality.
More understanding.
More access.
More life.
